Consumption of this Emergency Food During a Disaster

Natural disasters are a natural thing to happen. Types of disasters exist that follow a cycle of up to hundreds of years, thousands, even millions of years. But there is also a sudden and unexpected happen. Natural disasters can be volcanoes, floods, landslides, tsunamis and so forth. Evacuation of disaster victims by local governments or social organizations should have effective and efficient planning to meet the needs of disaster victims, whether clothing, food, and education. In addition to natural disasters, other emergency situations need attention, such as the emergency case of Brexit (Brebes Exit), strayed in the forest while climbing the mountain, war conditions, and others. Nutrition fulfillment in disaster victim is still a problem, either in terms of food type (often consuming instant noodle), expired food, or from hygiene of public kitchen. Volunteers must open a public kitchen first, invite people to be involved in the process of shopping for food, cooking and distributing it. All the sudden preparations, often resulting in chaos and delays in the provision of food, while the hungry stomach of disaster victims obviously cannot wait and can add to their suffering. Store the following items in unused, covered bins or in backpacks. Bottled water. Keep at least 3 days of water for each family member. One big bottle for one person every day for drinking and sanitation. Nursing mothers, young children, and the elderly or sick family need more water and store more water in hot weather or for disinfection. You need more water also if there is a pet. Durable food and cutlery. Pack a can opener, glass and paper plates and other cutlery. Store 3-day feeding supplies for each family member including items such as powdered milk and canned fruits, meat, vegetables, and juices. Do not forget food for babies or family members who need special food. Infant formula milk can be damaged by heat or cold so keep it away from extreme temperatures. Check the expiry date every 6 months and replace as necessary.
